The official 10 Best Classic Rock Albums of the 1970’s

1. Boston (Boston)
2. Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975 (Eagles)
3. [untitled] (Led Zeppelin)
4. Who’s Next (The Who)
5. Rumours (Fleetwood Mac)
6. New World Record (ELO)
7. Breakfast in America (Supertramp)
8. A Farewell to Kings (Rush)
9. Hotel California (Eagles)
10. Dark Side of the Moon (Pink Floyd)

Honorable Mention
Physical Graffiti (Led Zepelin)
Bat Out Of Hell (Meatloaf)
2112 (Rush)

Note: Originally the computer had “The Wall” by Pink Floyd at number three. The album did come out very late in 1979, so late, most didn’t buy the album till 1980. In fact just one single was released in 1979 the remainder in 1980. So in the spirit of things, it was removed till I do a 1980’s list.

Note 2: The computer had 2112 at number 5. I however prefer, A Farewell to Kings. It is a much cleaner, more polished, more professional version of what made 2112 great.
